elegance does not consist in putting on a new dress .
I watched Coco avant Chanel today. Audrey Tautou makes for a lovely Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel. Remember how she warmed up our insides as Amélie? She has such dark and chiseled and innocent features - a beautiful combination of contradictions. I must confess, Alessandro Nivolo played my heartstrings like a violin as Coco's lover, Boy. It was a nice little surprise to discover he also played Pollux Troy in Face Off - Nicolas Cage's wirey glasses wearing, cute little villain of a brother. You know, it's a wondrous joy to watch a foreign film when you don't even notice you're reading the subtitles. Sure it was dramatized, but what biopic isn't?
